What Sdu enjoys most about SA cuisine


What I enjoy the most about our cuisines is the diversity…it’s a pity there’s not much said about it.
I also love our proudly South African cuisines. The mouth-watering malva pudding served with homemade custard…I make the meanest malva pudding ever. Isijingi dessert, which is the mixture of pumpkin, maize meal, honey, cinnamon finished off with fresh cream and served with berry coulis.
However, there’s nothing that beats our signature braai with friends and family. Served with a selection of salads, chakalaka, stiff pap (fufu/ugali) and Capetonian wines.
